Cyber-Monday Shopping
I wonder if Cyber-Monday and Black Friday are US things since they have to do with the Friday and Monday after Thanksgiving which always is on a Thursday? It’s rare anymore that I feel like doing battle with the crowds on Black Friday but with the swine flu, this year was even less appealing! However, I did have a good experience with Cyber-Monday yesterday. It’s especially good for electronic gifts, DVD’s and video games. So Justin emailed me his wish list which always fits those categories and within 5 minutes I had bought 4 gifts for him all at great prices, no taxes and free shipping. How can you beat that? And I even did it from Jessica’s computer with Jacob on my lap! How’s that for multi-tasking? After I gave Jacob his bottle and changed him, he must’ve smiled and cooed at me for 5 minutes straight. I was so wishing I had my camera with me. I’m going back tomorrow morning while Jessica takes Ryan to Kindermusik so I’ll see if I can get some video of him. It was so cute!
Today is December 1st so the countdown begins in full-force. Despite my best intentions, I’m never as prepared as I’d hoped to be. I think I’ll take my Christmas cards with me and try to get my out of country cards ready to send. Maybe we can get Ryan and Jacob over to see Santa (the real Santa) soon so I can add a photo. Are you seeing my Christmas graphics? If not, use my Theme Switcher and select “Whispy Christmas.” Thanks also to Toni for the cute Christmas Days of the Week.

Hi Darylynn;
Cyber Monday or not, It’s my favorite way to shop. I’m so used to shopping online now that I have no patience going to crowded malls and shops. Good job on getting the 4 gifts for Justin. ;-}
Looking forward to seeing more photos of adorable little Jacob. I remember well the feeling of have a little grandchild smiling and cooing in my arms. I missed out having that with my great grandsons.
Speaking of Santa, I put up two photos of my cousin “Santa” on my blog today. They were taken last week. He looks great.
It’s hard to believe it’s December already! Enjoy your day today my friend. Hugs

Hi D, yes I see your Christmas graphics this morning, they look so cute.
I forgot about cyber-Monday but I did order a camera for myself yesterday and got a much better deal than in the store, plus the free shipping and no tax. Usually I’m shopping for toys for K, but I just ordered a DSi last week cos I didn’t know about the cyber day!!
it’s gonna be cold and wet here today, a high of only 48, if you can believe that!!!
Have a great day.

I’ve always assumed that Black Friday was just a US thing, it’s not something we have in the UK. Just as we have Boxing Day – which is when traditionally the sales start – and you don’t.
Fab multitasking. That’s why I always tell Bill there is no way he could look after Humbug full time, because he just couldn’t cope with doing a million things at once!
Thanks for the comment yesterday.

p.s looks lovely and festive in here

I agree with Sadie, great multi-tasking! Cyber Monday is much more appealing to me than black Friday as well. I just don’t have the patience, or energy to deal with the madness, and crowds on BF!
I can’t believe he is already 2 months old!
Jacob is so adorable! Love his smile
I always love seeing your decs! Have a great 1st December! Can you believe that we are in Dec already?
Love & hugs xxx

Hi Darylynn, had to laugh about the Meteor credits but since we use
to spend a fortune on graphincs, whats a few Meteor credits. I sure wish they would give us an island expansion. Eddie sees what I am on. Jr asked him if I was on the farm and he said “no grampa, Island! It was so cute. He use to ask for the elephants on FV but now he likes the reindeers. You did great on your cyber shopping. I started to look but got sidetracked, probably with the Cafe or one of the grandkids. I did update my blog with pics. Time to go. Hugs
