Christmas Packages on my Doorstep

My Cyber-Monday packages I ordered already arrived on Wednesday and Thursday. Danna asked me what online retailer I liked and I told her Amazon.com. I find that site really reliable and I usually get free shipping and no tax. I always use the free shipping option and even though they say it takes longer, I find it arrives almost as soon as the other option that you pay more for. They also are good if you need to return things. Their prices were as good as Wal*Mart and other discounters. On the news, they reported how criminals follow the UPS trucks and steal packages off your doorstep. They recommend that you request they ask for a signature so they don’t just leave things. Since I’m usually home, I see or hear the truck (thanks to the dogs) so I rescue it off the porch quickly.

Yesterday, I worked on my “out of the US” Christmas cards and will take them to the post office today. I wished I had Santa Claus photos to put in them but we haven’t made our visit yet. We will do that next week sometime. Want to avoid the weekend. If you didn’t see the Jacob smiling video, it’s in yesterday’s post. Have a great weekend!

    Happy Friday Darylynn;

I love to shop at Amazon.com also. I’ve been shopping with them for 13 + years when they were just an online “book” store. At that time they use to send Christmas gifts to their customers. The first two years I received a mouse pad, and a traveling coffee mug. The third year it was something cheap and that’s when I knew they were growing too big to be personal anymore. I always choose free shipping but now I have to pay tax as New York doesn’t allow them to not charge me tax anymore. That started in 2007.

Have a lovely weekend my friend. Hugs

    :tgif Hi Darylynn,
I heard that also on the news about those terrible people :yikes are grabbing peoples packages. All mine come to my work. I usually get the packages early too when I order and use the free shipping. I got a great deal on a new Dell printer/scanner/copier not only did I get free shipping I got 20% off and it will be here on Wednesday! My Canon scanner and Canon printer were not compatable with the new Dell:( Oh well they both were old. Speaking of cards did you get mine yet? I rushed them out the other day. I am looking at the Santa picture with Ryan right now ;) I have it right by my computer. Have a wonderful weekend stay dry and warm :singingrain they are saying rain might be on the way!
    Hugs, Dru

So many shot on Amazon, but I never did it coz they do not accept PayPal as a payment. A few weeks ago Zeno got a gift cert at work, but we have not used it yet. :|
Jacob video is sooooooooo cute, thanks! :thewave
And Ryan hair cut shot is so funny! Poor Ryan.
Have a lovely weekend. Hugs!! :grouphug

    Hi, Darylynn
I’m a big fan of Amazon too. I’ve used the free shipping option often and I agree that it doesn’t take any longer that way. I just love to browse and see what they have.
I’ve thought about UPS and delivering packages at Christmas. The UPS truck comes to my area usually after I leave for work. I’ll have to keep your suggestion in mind,
Hope you’re having a lovely weekend! I’ll be spending mine decorating. Usually I’m done by this time! ((Hugs))

I love Amazon. Bough two more pessies from there this week (not books, and not directly via Amazon, so one hasn’t yet arrived :( ) and I love it. Other than when you are buying something via them, rather than directly, they are so speedy. :)

quick hello from me. Hope to post later, but I can’t guarantee it.

    Hi Darylynn,
My apologies, :thud I thought you asked me if pup had a crate, but no you asked me if pup likes a crate. gosh i’m so weird sometimes.
I love Amazon too and think they are a great company. When I ordered the flip video player, and it didn’t work the way I thought it would, I returned it with no problem at all.
I’m usually home too when the UPS truck comes by, he comes up and puts it on my porch and rings the doorbell and then is off, I usually have time to grab the package, wave at the guy, and do a thumbs up. Glad you found some great deals without ever leaving the house. :shopping
Hope your having a great week-end.
    It looks purdy in here.
    :ahoy

Chalk me up as another fan of Amazon. Mostly books and music though.

Awful about the UPS stuff. I will have to ask for a sign option now too.
    Hope the weekends going well.

HI Darylynn long time no visit. I love Amazon and I agree the free ship comes fast. I am normally home too, but not when packages arrive, I seem to pick that day to go somewhere. LOL! I didn’t do any shopping online this year, except a tiny bit. I wanted to touch and feel and see what is out there, and be out there. I still have some things to get. I need to send my out of the US Christmas Cards so tomorrow I will be standing in a long line at the post office. Grrrr, I hate that. I just decorated today so it feels like Christmas now.
    Big hugs

I’ve never been disappointed by Amazon, really. But never bought anything else but books & DVDs. xoxo
