Baby It’s Cold Outside!
Last night or early this morning, the temperature was predicted to get down to 27°F! The high today is supposed to be 54°F. That is COLD for us! It rained yesterday and our storm is supposed to travel east and bring a lot of bad weather. Today it should hit Colorado and by Thursday, it should bring stormy weather to the east coast. We got a lot of snow in the local mountains and in the high deserts. They always interview travelers on the news who are shocked that we get snow in Southern California. They think it’s 80 degrees year round. Yesterday, we went over to Jessica’s (Jeff came with me) and Ryan was so proud of his little yellow raincoat. He didn’t even want to take it off. Today, weather permitting, we’re going to take “the boys” to see Santa. Should be interesting to see how it goes. Jacob is such a happy little guy that he’ll be fine but Ryan could be another story since he’s old enough to wonder who this stranger is but still young enough to not really “get” Santa Claus. Jacob is going to wear the same outfit that Ryan wore two years ago. That was so cute how his little bare feet showed but tomorrow we may have to have socks on until just before the photos are taken.

I should think it does feel cold for you, when the weather turns as suddenly as that.
Just be careful when out and about.
Hope all goes well with the boys and their photo shoot!
Ho ho ho! xxxxx

Hi Darylynn;
I remember well having to wear a sweaters and jackets at times in Southern CA. Even the day we met I remember having on two long sleeve tops. Here in NY our blood is actually thicker as we are adapted to the cold weather.
I can’t wait to see the new Santa and boys photos. Ryan might surprise you and enjoy meeting Santa. You never know how children will act.
Your storm is traveling east and they say will hit us sometime this coming week with snow and ice. I’m definitely not looking forward to it. We have another one starting tonight and making for a miserable day tomorrow with snow, sleet and ice predicted.
Have a wonderful time today and don’t forget to give Santa your list and if he’s listening tell him I could use a new TV.
Hugs

Ooooh yes, got to keep those little toes warm until it’s time for the Santa pic. I hope Ryan embraces the idea, but then with such a warm friendly santa, I’m sure if anyone can have him feel at ease, that santa can. I’m keen to hear how it goes.
I must say I also thought your weather was pretty much like ours, quite temperate never getting down below freezing and never snowing, but you’ve surprised me with how cold you have it. Brooke’s Dave is now in NC so I hope he’s got lots of warm clothes!
Of course when it’s been 40F here today it’s hard to imagine it’s that cold anywhere!
Hope you have a great day. Stay snug. ((((hugs))))

Good morning Darylynn, it was 30 this morning. I had the car heater going and had a winter sweater and raincoat. That was at 5:30am. I hope the pictures go well. Eddie talks of Santa but I doubt he would go with him. We will try taking a picture at church this Sunday with our “Santa” I have a small tree
up at work with tin stars that have snowmen faces on it. I have a gingerbread on the top. It is “Merry and bright”. Have a nice day. Hugs

Hi Darylynn,
Jacob might have to wear little socks it is so cold but I bet you can pull them off for the picture. I like the little toesies out in the picture. Have a fun day seeing Santa.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr I wore sweats last night to sleep in. I think Toni is right we are thin blooded here in So Cal. I also told Santa that I want an electric blanket for Christmas
Hugs, Dru

Keep warm! That’s really Arctic weather for you out there.
I hope it warms back up quick.
Not fun when it hits you so quickly and especially if the weather gets nasty with it.
Can’t wait to hear how the photography went.
hugs.. have great Wednesday
