Once again, I apologize for being such a bad blogger! We took almost every piece of furniture out of our family room so we could work on the floors since our new sofa is coming on Friday. We left the piano, the big entertainment center and Jeff’s computer roll top desk. Those are just too cumbersome to move plus the floor underneath them is still in good shape and, even if it wasn’t, who would ever see it? It was so funny after all the sofa and chairs were moved out because our voices were echoing in the room. Kanan was quite concerned because his crate was amongst the things moved out. When he saw us moving things, he got inside his crate and sat there. Since he’s all black, you can barely even see him. Funny dog! I used my Floormate (one of my countless floor cleaning contraptions) to clean the floor and Jeff worked on individual areas that had marks. It actually looks nice so empty and I’m going to be very picky about what gets to come back. We had a lot of the furniture moved into the backyard while we worked but rain is predicted for today so we moved the things that we’ll keep into the living room and the things that will go into the garage. “The boys” are back today so my contribution to the floor work (staining and sealing or whatever) will be limited. My job will be mostly to keep Ryan out of the way of Jeff’s work. He’s a guy and thinks he should drag out his play toolchest and contribute.
