Happy 4th of July!

Today, Jeff and I are going down to Justin’s house. His little townhouse complex has a potluck BBQ. The neighbors gather by the spa at 5 for cocktails and then you’re welcome to bring something to throw on the BBQ. Everyone brings a dish to share. When it’s dark, they have fireworks. Surprisingly, they are allowed to have fireworks in Costa Mesa. His house borders the Talbert Nature Preserve which is on the bluffs overlooking Huntington Beach. I would think they’d worry about fires in the nature preserve. We’ll also be able to see the fireworks that are shot up over the ocean from the Huntington Beach pier. So that should be fun for us because we’ve lived in Agoura Hills for almost 30 years now and fireworks are not allowed. Growing up on the westside, I always had fireworks as a child and the 4th of July was always an exciting and fun time. We’ll have to go buy some sparklers! Should be nostalgic!    Happy 4th of July! Yes, Tyler has been a fire explorer most of this past school year. He is taking a fire tech course at the community college in the fall.In our little town of 7,700 people we have both volunteer fire and ambulance.

   So do you never see fireworks on the 4th where you live? or can you see them off in a distance somewhere? I am on my own all weekend (loving it!) but might pop next door today to my neighbor’s bbq.

   I’m sure I’ve seen on the net or the news somewhere, that there are fires in California. Anything to do with you and your fireworks???/!!!!

   They do fireworks in Newps, too. When I lived there, we’d walk out to the beach and we had fireworks coming from both sides. Aw…I miss it down there

   Hi There,
   Have a great time in Huntington Beach! I would see the fireworks from the fair grounds when I was there but the beach is always a fun place to be with the pit fires etc. Newport does have them and so does Long Beach over the islands out there. HUGS

    : Happy 4th Darylynn! first thing i had to do was find the post about last weeks wine tasting adventure. i am so glad you posted a picture of the group, and that is a great photo, and i love your cute little outfit, and the skirt is adorable. you look great!
    wow and as for the wallet that could have really been a disaster, so glad an honest person found it *whew* for Jeff! Rex left his atm/debit card at a restaurant we had lunch in last week-end and we got all the way over by the dog park and i wanted to stop in my usual grocery store and get something small so i could get some cash to pay the two dollars for getting in the dog park as we had no cash at all on us. but we quickly realized he didn’t have his card and left it at the restaurant. i quickly called 411 on my cell and got the number, got connected to them, and the girl says i have it right here in my pocket. so off we sped back downtown to get it.
    You guys were lucky to get the wallet back, with the cash too! if i found a wallet, i would never keep it and would do everything in my power to return. I found a diamond ring one time in a hotel and quickly returned it to the front desk, the lady even called me and was so thankful for me returning it.
    LOVE the grill!
    LOL with your Meez in the limo gosh that almost looks like a train :car: also love your 4th of July meez those sunglasses are too much and love the jeans lol

    i love your cutting board and what a bargain for $20! we do not have a costco here or i would be flying out the door to get one. i have a cutting board very similar to that, although no mats.
    sorry if this is so lengthy, but i had to play catch up at Darylynn’s and see what she is up to! always exciting for me lol

    Hi again! Doing a little catch up while we are heading to Zion. There were no fireworks of course in Yellowstone. We could of seen some in Cody but we did not wane to to stay until 10:00PM it does not get dark out here until 10:00PM! Long days! Sounds like you were going to have a nice time at Justin’s.
